  • Craig A Ball

    Veterinarian

    Dr. Ball graduated in 1997 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M University, College of Veterinary Medicine. In 1990 he graduated from Plano East Senior High. Dr. Ball has worked in the veterinary field  since he was 15 years old. "I have a true love for all aspects of both large and small animal care. I aspire to meeting the needs of our clientele fully and truly improving the health and well-being of our patients."

    Dr. Ball is married to his wife, Ashley and they have a son named Seth Alan.  They have two dogs, Aggie - Yellow Lab and Buck - Chocolate Lab.  When time permits they enjoy riding their horse Chief.

    Dr. Ball enjoys fishing, bird hunting, riding ATV's and camping.

    Memberships/Associations: AVMA, TVMA, ETVMA, AAEP, The Association of Former Students Century Club, 12th Man Foundation, Upshur County A&M Club, Upshur County Lions Club. He is also very active in leadership with Boy Scout Troop 314.

  • Ashley Ball

    Office Administrator

    Ashley grew up in Keller, TX. where she graduated from Keller High School. She earned an Associates Degree in Accounting from Tarrant County College and she also attended Texas A&M University. She has worked in Mortgage/Banking  and has been a licensed loan officer. She is the Office Administrator for GAC and handles all the financial aspects of the clinic.
     
    Ashley is married to Dr. Craig Ball and adores her son, Seth. They have two dogs,  Aggie - Yellow Lab and Buck and Chocolate Lab.  They also have a horse, named Chief.
     
    Ashley enjoys scrap booking, reading, camping, riding ATV's and riding horses.

  • Mary Jenkins

    Office Manager

    Mary has been with the clinic since December of 2004.  She graduated high school here in Gilmer, and then received an Associates of Science Degree from North East Texas Community College and a Bachelors of Science in Agronomy from Texas A&M Commerce.  She has held a Certified Applicators License in Pest and Termite Control.  Mary frequently attends seminars on veterinary medicine and management.  And she is a member of the East Texas Manager's Association.  

    Mary enjoys spending time with her family and friends.  She is the proud mother of three, Desirae, Allen, and Derek.  And the very proud "Nonni" to her granddaughters Myla and Addison and grandsons Lane, Cason, Banks, James, and Walker!  Their family also includes partner Ryan, daughter in laws Jordan and Monze, son in law Xavier, and "grand-dogs", Maverick the wild-n-crazy Doberman, and Rocky Road and Ellie Mae two mini Australian Shepherds. 

    The family enjoys taking trips to visit zoos, museums, and amusement parks.  They also enjoy game nights, bowling, putt putt golf,  going to the movies and family cook outs.

  • Annette Bohnert

    Kennel Manager

    Annette is the kennel manager for Gilmer Animal Clinic.  Annette has been with GAC since September 2008.  She is responsible for making sure that our boarding facilities are as comfortable and clean as possible for all your pets.

    Annette and her fiancee Cam  moved to Gilmer from Tracy, California.  They have four sons, Nicholas, Jake, Zack, and  Derrick .  

    The family also includes dogs Harley and Hope, as well as seven cats that go by SC, Camo, Loki, SJ, Phanty, Pudge and  Willie.   

    Before coming to Gilmer, Annette had worked for over thirteen years a as veterinary technician and then as a bio-tech animal facility manager for the last fifteen and half years.   Her studies certified her as a laboratory animal technician, or "LATg".

  • Sabrina Acosta

    Receptionist

    Sabrina joined Gilmer Animal Clinic July of 2020.  She is the bright face and friendly voice that greats you when you call or visit GAC!  Born and primarily raised in Puerto Rico, she is able to communicate fluently with our clients and friends in both English and Spanish.  She may even share one of her many impressive accents with you!!

    Sabrina holds a Bachelor's of History from the University of Texas at Dallas and plans on obtaining her teaching degree in the near future.  She has worked in veterinary clinics since 2014 in both reception and technician roles.  

    She is married to her college sweetheart, whom adores her love of animals.  Their family includes 2 Alaskan Malamutes -Dakota and Atari, barn cats- Mabel, Ulysses, and Golllum, some 30 chickens, and 8 rabbits.  A farm in the making for sure! 

    Sabrina says that her main interest is that of her pets, but she also enjoys pottery, and trying new types of coffee whenever she can.  

    She is proud to share that she was a member of the FFA from 7th - 12th grades and attended National Contest for Livestock Judging and Extemporaneous Public Speaking.

  • Lindzey Sims

    Veterinary Technician

    Lindzey became a member of the GAC team in May of 2020.  She is a graduate of Hallsville High School, and an experienced veterinary technician since 2012.   

    Her family includes, husband- Jonathan, son- Gavin, and daughter- Kilie.  The family also includes Moose, their Great Dane, and Cocoa a Lab. 

    Lindzey loves being outdoors.  She enjoys camping and hiking, church, and hanging out with her family. 

    She is a proud board member for the non-profit organization, "Young Hero Warriors", and will be happy to talk to you about how you can help the children and their guardians of fallen soldiers and first responders.

  • Peyton Smith Lozoya

    Veterinary Technician CVAI

    Peyton joined the GAC team in July of 2020.  She is a graduate of Hawkins ISD and has attended TJC for her "basics" and a semester of the veterinary technician program.  She has years of customer service experience and has worked on an equine ranch before joining GAC.  

    Peyton is newly married to her long time beau, Ben.  Peyton is the middle child of Shelly and Bobby Smith's three daughters.  Their very close family also includes her nieces, Blakely and Brixley.   And we can not forget, Dixie Lou the sweetest blue Pit Bull Terrier.  

    Peyton loves puzzles and reading in her spare time, but if you catch her outside she is probably fishing or mudding!

  • Logan Thompson

    Veterinary Technician Assistant 

    Logan enthusiastically joined the GAC family July 2021.  Logan started shadowing and volunteering at the clinic earlier in the summer to gain experience and hours needed to attend the veterinary technician program at TJC.  The staff quickly feel in love with her eagerness, intelligence, and work ethic and offered her a position! 

    Logan is a graduate of Tyler Legacy High School and is currently attending the Veterinary Technician Program at Tyler Junior College.  

    She previously worked at a horse farm for 5 years as well as a dog boarding facility.  Logan enjoys horseback riding, fishing, and hunting in her spare time.  She is often found with her dogs Georgia and Echo and horse Hitch.

  • Beth Honeycutt

    Veterinary Technician
    Beth joined the GAC team in January of 2022.  She and her husband, Seth are blessed to be raising three young ladies, Summer, Autumn, and Alayna.  The family shares their love with Ruger an American Staffordshire Terrier, a kitten - Opossum, and 2 very much adored Rats (yes, you read that correctly)- Pepper, and Cinnamon.  

    Beth's life adventures have taken her from Shreveport, LA to Marshall, TX, Denver, CO and Dallas, TX before she planted roots here in Gilmer.  She is an alumni of Bel-Rea Institute of Veterinary Technology and has previously worked in the veterinary field in both Colorado and Dallas.  

    Beth takes great pride in her flower and vegetable gardens. She enjoys reading especially when the topic is about History or  dystopian society.  She also enjoys listening to Christian and country music as she unwinds.  Beth is a member of the Open Range Cowboy Church and looks forward to Sunday service and bible study times.

  • Amanda Heisserer

    Veterinary Receptionist/Technician CVA Level III

    Amanda has been enthusiastically greeting our clients and friends since April of 2022.  She brings with her many years experience in  veterinary hospitals.  She is a certified veterinary assistant level 3.  

    Amanda was born in Jacksonville, FL, lived in Houston, TX as a child, and then Arizona for 13 years before finding her way back to the great state of Texas.  Her mother and brother still live in Arizona.  Amanda has found her Texas family at Grace Creek Church in Longview where she is very active and enjoys volunteering.  When she has free time, Amanda also finds peace in spending time with her horses, Leo and Cody.  

    Amanda is currently working towards her Bachelors degree in law and national security through Regent University.  Her hobbies include horse back riding, hiking, and fishing.
